Dear JunFen,
We are so happy that we have received travel approval and will be soon flying in an airplane for 17 hours to meet you, to embrace you and to start our life together. Your mama will be in China in early April. Your foster family will tell you when the date will be. We will spend about 5 days in Wuhan, and if you like, we can visit the special places of your city! Then we will fly to Guangzhou for a couple of days. After that we will fly to the United States, where you will meet your Baba and maternal grandma. They will be waiting to greet us at the airport.
I am so excited to get to know you, dear Junfen. You can tell me what name you like to be called when we meet. I wonder if you like to be called Junfen, Fen Fen or sometimes by a name in America that sounds very much like your lovely Chinese name. There is no rush. It will be fun to get to know each other, to laugh together and to share life together. We send kisses in the wind to you. We hope your dear foster family will be so happy about your new life with us. We are happy for their wonderful care of you.
Well, dear daughter, we long to see you and to hold you in our arms and close to our hearts!

I normally lurk but wanted to say congrats and have a great trip. Somehow I stumbled across your blog and am so excited for you all. I too have scoliosis and have had three surgeries in my life, one at 11 and the other 2 three years ago at 30. Junfen has had a special place in my heart since I first saw her here and I am so excited she will have a loving family like you all. Have a great trip.

I'm so excited for your travel and will say extra prayers since you will be traveling alone. I know it will go well and you will not REALLY be alone. Your travel mates will take care of you as will our heavenly father! Enjoy every moment with your new daughter and I hope you can bond very quickly.

With the arrival of snow yesterday it seems that God is decorating JunFen's new home in a glossy coat of white powder. As I drove home yesterday stuck in what we call snow I was reminded of a earlier snow fall when I was Jun's age. My dad took me out and taught me how to make a snow man and went sledding with me. It was a special treat to have him available to spend time with me. I know as you are traveling alone today you will be protected and guided in the spirit of the Lords grace and mercy. Many hearfelt hugs and smiles. We are all thinking of you at work today. God Bless.
